Seven Ocean Hydraulics PFV Series Pre-fill Valve is a type of non-return valve or drain valve. The pre-fill valves are used to suction / discharge hydraulic fluid between a cylinder and a tank.
The pre-fill valve, much like other check valves, controls the direction of the fluid. In applications to hydraulic presses, the valve draws hydraulic fluid from the tank to the cylinder in a timely fashion and prevents the oil flowing from hydraulic cylinder to tank while pressurizing, and in the return process, it discharges the fluid back to the tank from the cylinder. The whole process controls the press cylinder on rapid closing and opening.
